The Second Provincial Grand Principal Visits Lovekyn Chantry Chapter

In February, Lovekyn Chantry Chapter No.6807 was honoured by a visit from E.Comp. David Wills, PAGSoj., Second Provincial Grand Principal.

After the Chapter was opened E.Comp. Michael Clay, ProvGStB, was admitted and advised the M.E.Z., E.Comp. Wally Maynard, ProvGStwd, that the Second Provincial Grand Principal was in the ante room and demanded admission to Lovekyn Chantry Chapter.

The Second Provincial Grand Principal entered in procession with the Provincial team, was presented with the Sceptre and took the Chair.  He said how pleased he was to be visiting Lovekyn Chantry Chapter again and how much he was looking forward to the afternoon's proceedings.

The Second Provincial Grand Principal introduced the Acting Provincial Officers present, took the minutes and then vacated the Chair.

The Officers of the Chapter then delivered a Commentary on the Holy Royal Arch Exaltation Ceremony, which was well received by all those present.

The Principals of the Chapter and the Chapter Charity Steward then presented the Second Provincial Grand Principal with a cheque for £500 towards the 2019 Festival in aid of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution.  The Second Provincial Grand Principal thanked the Companions for their generous donation which entitles them to a Bronze Award.

After photographs and a few well earned drinks in the bar, the Companions of Lovekyn Chantry Chapter and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable festive board at the Surbiton Masonic Hall.
